Reservation Pages
Reserve By Unit Type   Tour
What is the recommended use of this page?

This page is intended for users that have properties where guests typically reserve by the type of unit rather than the exact unit. Types of users that will benefit from this style page include hotels (best for under 100 units), motels, cottages, hostels (book by the bed), and campgrounds. Your guest may search by availability and only types of units with available units will be displayed. Users select from a drop down to reserve the number of units they want. The drop down will only show up to the maximum number of units available for that unit type.

What is the best way to set up my property for use with this type of reservation page.

The unit type label is what appears in the column where your guests select units. The unit name appears in the reservation summary. It is best to use generic names for the unit name and the unit type. You may even want to use the same words for both the room type and room name - such as Double Room, Triple Room.

It is best to first set up one unit of each type that you offer. Once it is configured like you want, then edit it and use the create duplicates to make additional units with the same settings. After you have done this for all your unit types, then use the bulk edit feature to set the order (used on the internal reservation calendar).

How is the display order of my units set?

The order is pulled from the display order of your unit types (Properties Tab, Room Types).
